At Memento & Co., we believe that family history is one of the most precious gifts we can preserve for future generations. The idea for our business was born from a deeply personal experience. After discovering my biological father through DNA testing, I had the opportunity to sit with him and hear stories about our family’s past. He shared photographs, records, and rich memories, and I was so engrossed, I thought I’d never forget the details. But after he passed away just 16 months later, I realized how much of that history I had lost—not because it wasn’t meaningful, but because it was overwhelming to absorb all at once.

Looking back, I wished I had done more. I wished I had taken videos of him sharing those stories, capturing his voice, his expressions, and the way he brought our family history to life. I wished I had a system to organize the photos and records in a way that made sense, so I could relive the moments and preserve them for the next generation.

It was then that I realized: I can’t be the only one. Others must wish they had videos of their loved ones recounting family memories. Others must long for a way to organize and curate photos that tell a meaningful story. From that realization, Memento & Co. was born.
